Bornholm is Denmark’s easternmost island geographically located at 55º north and 15º east is a craggy island and a real paradise with a rich and fertile heart and a great variety of scenery ranging from cliffs and skerries to woodland, heather and miles upon miles of white sandy beaches.
The idyllic small towns, with their beautiful half-timbered houses and winding, cobbled streets, the charming fishing hamlets, with their characteristic smokehouse chimneys, and the numerous well-kept farms in the countryside add to the landscape’s unique charm.
Most people who have experienced the many delights of Bornholm during a brief stopover on a Baltic cruise want to return to explore this little earthly paradise where great efforts are made to preserve the island’s characteristic, unique environment.
