Executive Summary
According to BCC Research, the US dental market is currently worth an estimated $6.7 billion. It is expected to reach approximately $9.4 billion by 2010 with an average annual growth rate of 7%.
The major driving forces behind this growth in the dental sector include an aging population, and increasing public awareness. Although there is a trend showing fewer reported cases of tooth decay and associated treatment, analysts forecast US demand for dental products will grow 5.9% annually through 2008, driven by the growth in cosmetic and restorative dental procedures.
The introduction of new technologies and materials are predicted to make an important impact in the US dental market. At the same time the rapid rate of scientific and technological advancement in recent years is expected to shape the future growth of the market.
Touch Briefings: US Dentistry 2006 will address the needs and requirements of those in the dental community by providing expert opinion on the issues shaping the industry now, as well as reviewing the trends that will impact the future of US dental healthcare. The editorials from opinion leaders and distinguished experts in specific fields of dentistry will cover topics covering new techniques and technological advancements, cosmetic dentistry, infection control, and best practice issues in a modern dental practice.
