Kevin Allman

Kevin Allman is a Cardiologist and Nuclear Physician who serves as Senior Staff Specialist in the Department of
Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Nuclear Medicine at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney. He serves
as Chair of the International Advisory Committee and International Council of the American Society of Nuclear
Cardiology (ASNC) and as President of the Asian-Pacific Society of Nuclear Cardiology (APSNC). Dr Allman is a
Fellow of numerous societies, including the Australian College of Physicians. His research interests include cardiac
PET, myocardial viability, cardiac FDG and neuronal imaging and pharmacological stress agents. ■
Cheng-Wen Chiang
Past President, Taiwan Society of Cardiology (TSCO)
Cheng-Wen Chiang is Vice Superintendent and a Professor in the Division of Cardiology at Cathay General Hospital
in Taiwan. Prior to this appointment, he worked in the First Cardiovascular Division at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital,
Taiwan. Professor Chang is Past President of the Taiwan Society of Cardiology (TSCO), Treasurer of the Asian
Federation of Societies for Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology (AFSUMB) and Secretary General of the College of the
Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology (APSC). He has published research in numerous international peer-reviewed
journals. His research interests include systemic embolism, intra-atrial thrombolytic therapy and echocardiography. ■
Evelyn Lai-Ming Ho
President, College of Radiology of Malaysia
Evelyn Lai-Ming Ho is President of the College of Radiology and the Academy of Medicine of Malaysia. She is
Treasurer of the Malaysian Breast Cancer Council and a member of the Malaysian Medical Association. She
continues to contribute to and teach numerous breast cancer awareness workshops with the Breast Cancer
Support Society and the UPM-Cornell University Breast Cancer Education Project. She strives to improve the
standards of imaging, nurture nuclear medicine development and prepare members of the radiology fraternity
for emerging technologies such as positron emission tomography/computed tomography. ■
Masatsugu Hori
President Elect, International Society for Heart Research (ISHR)
Masatsugu Hori is Professor and Chairman of the Department of Cardiovascular Medicine and Director of the
Heart Centre at Osaka University Graduate School of Medicine. He is also President of the Japanese Society
of Heart Failure and President Elect of the International Society of Heart Research (ISHR). He serves as an executive
member of a number of cardiovascular societies and as an Editorial Board member for numerous international
journals. Professor Hori has authored or co-authored more than 500 peer-reviewed original papers and over
20 book chapters. He has served as Chairman of the Scientific Committee of the Japanese Circulation Society. ■
Koichiro Niwa
President, Japanese Society of Adult Congenital Heart Disease
Koichiro Niwa is Director of the Department of Adult Congenital Heart Disease and Paediatrics at Chiba
Cardiovascular Centre, Japan, and President of the Japanese Society of Adult Congenital Heart Disease. He served
as Co-Director of the 1st Asian Pacific Adult Congenital Heart Disease Meeting. Professor Niwa is Treasurer
of the International Society of Adult Congenital Heart Disease (ISACCD), a member of the European Society of
Cardiology (ESC) and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (ACC). He is the author of over 120 peer-
reviewed investigations, and has authored 34 book chapters and over 40 reviews. ■
