International Conference on Antiviral Research (ICAR) will be held in Sapporo, Japan, at the Royton Sapporo and co-hosted by the International Society for Antiviral Research (ISAR) and the Japanese Association for Antiviral Therapy (JAAT).
The conference will begin on Monday, April 16th Conference Banquet in the evening on Thursday, April 19th
and conclude with the .
ICAR is a unique interdisciplinary multi-national meeting which covers all virus types and brings together those involved in basic virology, drug design and synthesis, mechanistic and structural studies, assay design, in vitro evaluation, animal models and clinical trials. For each of these areas there will be invited world leading plenary speakers who will deliver definitive overview lectures. There will also be oral presentations from submitted abstracts selected by our expert panel of reviewers, and two poster sessions.
A clinical symposium will be held during the meeting program and will feature a selection of key and timely updates on the progress of antiviral agents in clinical development which have been selected to cover the interests of conference attendees. We will also hold mini-symposia with presentations by internationally known antiviral researchers. The topics of these symposia will be selected closer to the time of the conference to ensure that they will be of the highest relevance.
As we have done at previous ICARs, the prestigious ‘Elion’ and ‘Prusoff’ Awards from ISAR will be given to individuals in recognition of their major contributions in the field. Additionally, we will also make several Poster Awards, to graduate students and junior researchers.
